|Why AJ Baucco Coaching?||I respect how thorough and precise AJB Coaching is in regards to their athletes. The amount of applied knowledge and meticulous attention to detail leaves no stone unturned. They do things the right way, not the easy way. I wouldn't rather work with any other coaching agency.|
New Jersey born and raised. I took up swimming just as a way to combat asthma, never thinking it would go anywhere. Eventually I swam 4 years at Montclair State University where I was also introduced to triathlon. In college I earned a degree in Physical Education and Exercise science, while obtaining my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist title through the NSCA. During and after college I coached swimming at many levels, ultimately coaching the swim team at The University of Colorado Boulder for the past 3 years retiring April 2016. In my tenure as Head Coach, we set 19 new team records and won 3 consecutive championships. During my coaching term I also obtained a certification as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and a distinction as a Functional Movement Specialist. My next endeavor is to apply to Doctorate of Physical Therapy programs this upcoming fall/winter.
The knowledge and experience I gained as; and educator, athlete, coach and movement specialist has been paramount in my journey as a triathlete. It has allowed me to train smart and stay injury free. Coaching and education have always been my passions, the opportunity to take what I have learned to work with athletes to get to their goals is amazing.
