I started competing in endurance sports at a young age growing up as a swimmer and a runner. I competed in my first triathlon in 2007 on a mountain bike! Throughout high school I competing in cross country, swimming, and track. Never a standout in one sport but always had the grit to keep challenging myself which quickly developed into doing a half-ironman during my junior year of high school. After high school, I pursued my love of triathlon which eventually lead to more half-ironmans and Ironman. At the age of 19, I was fortunate enough to earn my spot among the world's best and compete in the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. Currently, I have found a new desire in the strength world and enjoy competing in the sport of Olympic weightlifting. While I have not lost my root for endurance sports, I have discovered the passion of being able to help others and more importantly help others achieve their full potential. Regardless of athletic pursuits and natural ability, with consistent hard work and dedication, we can achieve anything we put our mind too. My goal is to continue to inspire others and to keep overcoming adversity.
I currently hold a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor’s degree in health science. I work full time at Fleet Feet Sports and understand how hard it can be to find a balance. Ultimately, training for a triathlon should be fun and time to shift the focus to yourself and reaching your own dreams and potential.
