I've been involved in sports since a child. My first 5K was at maybe 6 or 7. I played every sport I could in high school - football/basketball/track/soccer/baseball/tennis/cross country. Through all of these sports, I had many coaches with many different approaches. From this, I learned many ways to approach the psyche and physical abilities of an athlete. To this day, I look to coaches like John Wooden as masters of finding the best in an athlete and person. I like to think I emulate this in my approach to coaching, too. At the same time, I try to use these experiences to better myself as an athlete, too.
