I started my triathlon career while in college at Florida State University over 30 years ago. I fell in love with the sport after my first race and triathlon has become a lifestyle for me. I've made just about every mistake you can in training and have had just about every overuse injury at one point or another. I want to use my knowledge of the sport to help others achieve their goals. I like to help athletes reach their full potential in triathlons while balancing their busy lives around school, work, families, and and other interests. Out of the three sports, I really love swimming. I have a long history with swimming ever since I was a kid.
My wife Stephanie is also a coach. Although each of our athletes works closely with Stephanie or myself as their primary coach, we also work in collaboration to closely track and review the training and development of all our athletes.
I like to stay active and give back in the local community. I'm a middle school cross country coach and spent 10 years as race director for Tallahassee Youth Triathlon Series Also Past-President of the Gulf Winds Triathlon Club.
