Having grown up as a competitive swimmer through the D1 college level, it was a natural transition to triathlon as a 16 year old high schooler. With a big mouth and a brash attitude I figured I could do all three sports. Fast forward 36 years and I've completed 100's of races (18 Ironmans), coached Masters swimming with a specific focus on triathletes for more than a decade, and even been associated with some of the best triathlon coaches and athletes around the country.
As a coach, my primary focus is partnering with the adult triathlete who wants to establish a long-term, sustainable, healthy lifestyle while also developing their own athletic abilities to become the best athlete they can be - from finishing their first sprint to Kona Qualifying. I bring an approach to coaching that is holistic in nature, understanding the competing demands of family, work, service and athletics. The ultimate goal in my coaching is to develop highly individualistic training programs that allow adult athletes to reach their personal and athletic potential and goals. As a coach with a full-time job, children, and my own athletic aspirations, I know how challenging it can be to balance all aspects of life. But working with an experienced coach, together we can develop a program to allow you to maximize your time and effort, while also having fun and achieving your aspirations.
