   Are you feeling tired of the same foods? How about spicing up your plain chicken breast, side of veggies, or naked salad? Often we rely on pre-made marinades, sauces, and dips. This month we are giving you the tools to take charge and make your own sauces. These sauces are sure to surpass the flavor of your store-bought condiments and dressings. 




The key to enjoying your food is, you guessed it, flavor! This month we are empowering you to make your own sauces and freeze them for later. Making your own sauces removes extra preservatives from your food, reduces waste from extra packaging and allows you to adjust flavors to best suit your taste buds. 




Often when buying dressings and sauces they contain more food additives for preservation and color. Shelved sauces may contain added salt, sugar, colors, gums, and emulsifiers.1 While there is no evidence supporting that these food additives are harmful, for some these additives may cause GI distress. Luckily, food additives can be easily avoided by making sauces at home. Plus, homemade dressings, sauces, and dips often taste better!
