How can one be mindful of eating when they are not paying any attention to the food entering their mouth? How can one be mindful of hunger cues if they are multitasking to finish their lunch as fast as they can? How can one be mindful and recharge when they are glued to their seat for 7-8 hours at a time?

Take charge of your life and your training. During your lunch breaks, get up from your chair, take your lunch outside, or move to another room to engage with your coworkers. Mindful eaters tend to eat healthier and consume fewer calories than those who eat in a distracted state.2  A research study completed by Tork confirms that employees who take lunch breaks away from their desk benefit from high productivity, increased creativity, an improved mental state, along with overall healthier habits.

Be prepared for your lunch breaks and be mindful of your eating circumstances. Fuel your body by packing nutrient dense foods from home and fuel your mind by taking a lunch break away from your desk. We will be providing you with ideas for healthy grab and go meals all month long! Healthy habits build successful athletes.
