Mex Tofu Dip Recipe

On the weekends that I am home I tend to do more snacking all day then meal eating so I thought I would share one of my favorite snack power plates with you. I’m not a tofu fan by itself but throw it into a dip with some fresh herbs and I love it! Share this protein packed dip with your family and friends and I doubt they will guess the secret ingredient: Tofu! One block of tofu = 20-25g of protein!


- 1 block of soft tofu ~ 14oz, drained
- 1 avocado
- 2 limes (for juice)
- 1 cup of fresh cilantro packed (leaves and stems)
- 1 cup of green onion diced
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp cumin seed
- salt to taste


1. Add tofu and avocado to blender or food processor and blend.
2. Add juice from fresh limes and blend.
3. Add cilantro and green onion and blend.
4. Scrape the side of blender or food processor. Add garlic and cumin seed and blend. Then taste!
5. Add salt and more seasoning as needed.

This recipe makes 2 1/2- 3 cups of dip. Serve with vegetables of choice! I also enjoy this dip with crackers, tortilla chips, on sandwiches, and in wraps.
