Black Cherry Recovery Recipe

Did you train hard or race this weekend? If so, the ingredients in this smoothie bowl might be exactly what you need. Several studies have shown that tart cherries may be beneficial for recovery. Not only are they potentially beneficial for recovery but they are also tasty! This smoothie bowl will make for a great dessert post workout. - 2 cups of frozen tart cherries
- 1 date
- 1 cup of spinach
- 1/2 cup of soy milk
- 2 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 TBSP of cashew or almond butter
+Option to add 1 scoop of protein powder


1. Blend ingredients together. Add more soy milk if you want a thinner smoothie.
2. Top smoothie bowl with your favorite goodies. I personally love adding sliced almonds and Made Good chocolate granola minis. Other great toppings ideas: coconut shreds, chocolate chunks, chia seeds, flax seeds, etc. Remember to tag us to show off your smoothie bowl creations at #bauccosquadsmoothie.
