Quinoa Fruit Salad Recipe

The most refreshing breakfast, morning/afternoon pick me up or even dessert! For this fruit salad I tried to get local fruit from my near my farmers market and whatever I had spotted on sale at the store. This is one of my personal favorite summer mason jars and the beauty in this recipe is that you can use any fruit in your jar. I challenge you to visit your local farmers market and pick up a fruit that is in season near you for you mason jar fruit salad!


- 1/2 cup cooked red quinoa
- 1 papaya
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 honey crisp apple
- 2 Bananas
- 2 limes (for juice)
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- 2 tbsp honey
- for extra protein add almonds or top with Greek yogurt


1. In a large mixing bowl combine cooked quinoa and sliced fruit.
2. Zest lime over mixture and squeeze 1-2 limes (depending on how juice and large your lime are) on to the fruit.
3. Mix again then add honey. Mix again and enjoy this refreshing treat!
