2019 Maryland Training Camp

August 29, 2019 - September 02, 2019 in Cambridge, Maryland

Our Training Camp athletes will arrive in Cambridge, MD on Thursday, August 29th. Camp officially starts that evening with our welcome reception. Campers will leave the following Monday, September 2nd.

Information on the Training Camp:
In short, you're going to get world class coaching, fully supported training sessions, lots of laughs, clinics, seminars, an end of camp party, fun, camaraderie, swag, maybe a few tears (at the end as you say goodbye, we hope), a few beers, hard work, and new friends. The weekend camp is structured to support more athletes, but that doesn't mean we can take everyone. We need to keep the athlete to coach ratio at a maximum of 6:1. We may have to cap our registration if we start to approach that number.

What is Included in the Camp?
-All bike workouts will be sagged with professional mechanics on-hand and sports drink will be provided by Infinit Nutrition.
-The camp will include one meal in conjunction with the end of camp celebration (beer included). This is where we will give away all of the prizes and awards. In our past camps, we have given away ENVE Wheelsets, Normatec Recovery Boots, Huub Wetsuits, Stages Powermeters, and A LOT more.
-Cycling will take place in and around the beautiful Blackwater Wildlife Refuge on the same roads used for IRONMAN Maryland.
-Running will take place on the local roads along the Choptank River, historic Cambridge and surrounding communities.
-Athletes will swim in the Choptank River. This will include “typical” open water swim sessions as well as an open water clinic to work on sighting, drafting and other tools for successful open water swimming.
-Clinics and Seminars will be led by our team of coaches. Clinics / Seminars given at previous camps have included: Fueling for Race Day, How to Race and Train with (bike) Power, Mental Fitness Techniques, Open Water Swim Technique, Healthy Eating for the Endurance Athletes, How to Improve Transitions, Recovery Techniques, Swim Stroke Analysis and more.
-Product demos from our partners.

Refunds and Fees
*Camp refunds will be issued on a case-by-case basis up until registration closes. No refunds will be offered after registration closes.
**All registrations and rentals include any applicable sales tax, but are subject to a 3% processing fee.

You are responsible for having swim, bike, and run gear ready for camp before camp begins (bring wetsuits). You are responsible for having a place to sleep during camp, and a way of getting to camp activities. Most importantly, you are responsible for having a GREAT time and gaining some big time skills and fitness!!

Still not sold!? Feel free to reach out to any of our previous campers or see what they had to say in our post-race survey:

"Getting the chance to meet some awesome people and quality training/information. Learned so much in those few days."

"Part of why I loved the camp was that it was a nice balance of work hard, and then have fun/socialize with the group. The opening dinner was a great start ...and of course the end of camp party was great!"

"As long as the general format and the staff stay in place, I will 100% be back (and if price is about the same) The mix of hard sessions and time to chill out and relax with the team was perfect, and the staff were great."

-If you're one of our coached athletes, this is a no-brainer! This is the perfect opportunity to get in solid training, with YOUR coach, and take that athlete-coach relationship to the next level.

-If you are on the Baucco squad, this is a great chance to really get to know your teammates!! We have fostered a strong team environment among our athletes. This is the perfect chance to suffer, sweat, socialize, and have a blast with all those people.

-This is an impeccable opportunity to take your 2019 training and fitness over the top. If you are planning on racing Eagleman 70.3 or IRONMAN Maryland in 2019 or in the future it is an opportunity to get a guided tour of the course with experienced local coaches. Get one step ahead of your competition for your upcoming races. There is a reason that elite athletes attend training camps.

-Get feedback on your fundamentals in swim, bike, and run. This is the perfect opportunity to start the year with sound mechanics. Get the results of the effort you put in with improved swimming, biking, and running.

-We truly pride ourselves on our training camps as the crown jewel of our events. We are taking all the lessons learned the original AJ Baucco Coaching Florida Camp and raising the bar on how to deliver the best experience at the best price.
